A relationship is faltering, and maybe nearing its end. However, one of them is clinging to a belief that there could be a reconciliation. There is tenacity, hope and a belief that it’s not over until the large lady start her song.

A number of years ago I lived in a flat that was owned by a professional woman who lived in the room above. Throughout the night, I would hear the banging of typewriter keys reverberating through the ceiling above. It transpired that she was writing poison pen letters and sending them to the relatives and friends of people she knew. I moved away from the area, but I often wonder what became of her.

This is an indulgent, enjoyment of falling in love. The rush and the excitement, the abandonment and the lack of fear at doing something stupid. When you’re in love, there’s a smile that you can’t scrub off.

Lamenting a loss of a rebellious attitude among some people involved in Rock ‘n’ Roll, I wrote this as an observation and a hope that some would step up to the plate and challenge us. Reggae and grime are doing their bit, pull up your soap box and say something.

Casualties Of Love is about a couple who fall in love too quickly and then realized they had flaws that neither one wanted to face or admit. Do to this, it led to their separation.
