CO2
I like a lot of alone time, especially when I don't particularly care for the people around me. When I wrote this, I was on SSRIs and couldn't feel much of anything. That sort of emptiness and "everyone leave me alone" mindset is what brought this song about.

[VERSE 1]
I don’t mean to be rude,
but I don’t really care
People talk,
but it’s only hot air
I Can't hear, speak, think or share
Being present is really fucking rare
[CHORUS]
I think I faded to grey
I just want to be alone
I just want some quiet on my own
I just want to feel my blood
I just want to exist all locked up,
with me
I am my own best company
[VERSE 2]
Dissipating,
I blink and i’m gone
CO2 dissolving,
won’t be long
My own voice
sounds far away
Can’t tell the difference
between the days
“Who are you again?” I ask you
“Who are you again?” I ask the mirror too
I’m flying up in smoke
But I can’t see the flame
Coming back down
was never really the aim
But fuck it, I'm back
As back as I can be
fuck it, I'm back
here we go again, one, two, three…
[PRE CHORUS]
I think I faded to grey
[CHORUS]
I just want to be alone
I just want some quiet on my own
I just want to feel my blood
I just want to exist all locked up,
with me
I am my own best company
