Maybe it's the space between the stars, she said Or hiding out behind the sun back there Maybe it's on the moon, on that part that we can't see She's curious and resolute no doubt With big ideas from out her little mouth She's sure she's gonna find it, she's often promised me (Chorus) Daddy, I'm gonna find Heaven A place so big can't hide for long Preacher said there's many mansions Those pearly gates must be real tall Just think of all those people, daddy Millions or more, and the angels too Daddy, I'm gonna find Heaven And we'll go visit, me and you She's read through all her books at school and more She's got a map with X's she's marked 'long the shores And a telescope she looks through, just in case it moves around She stopped the mailman for questions in our yard She tires to talk to birds and asked the neighbor's dog She's even thought about the oceans, or some cavern underground (Chorus)
