Thy Scarlet Sea

(Marquis Smith )

A depiction of the events that supposedly took place in the Garden of Eden. I said "supposedly" because I can't truly say. Here, Satan is the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. And he beguiled Eve. It also speaks of his heavenly rebellion. Heavily inspired by death/doom, gothic, slight black metal. Very loose rhyme scheme. Enjoy.

Reveal to thee, sexuality Gather me in thy scarlet sea My earthly kingdom In days ov yore Torn asunder My pride He abhors Like thunder, I fell My followers as well Bearer ov falsehood Under shaded tree I dwell Spilling seed inside ov thee Drown me in thy scarlet sea Suffer me to have a drink Devour me in thy scarlet sea Burn thy soul & become wise With puffed up lips betwixt thy thighs Lastly, bring that husband ov thine Partake ov me. Open thine eyes. (And He said) "Who hath made you lame before Me? Veiled eyes whereas before you've seen?" "Ye serpent, crawl on thy belly Eat ov dust for all eternity Woman, bear with mouth agape And desire thy soulmate Man, cursed is the ground for all days No tree ov life, ye must eat ov the grave." After He had driven them out, He placed a flaming sword that flashed about.

Her Womb, My Tomb

By Marquis Smith

Her Womb, My Tomb is about infidelity. The idea is taken from proverbs 7 which discusses adultery. The simple fool of a man cannot help himself and sleeps with another man's wife! This could be doom/gothic metal finest hour! No rhyme scheme approach here. Preferred genres (but not limited to): Doom Metal/Gothic Metal.

PHARISEE

By Marquis Smith

"Pharisee" is about someone calling out people who prey on the weak because they're not able to discern genuine from ingenuine. It's angry in nature. This also details when man is put on peddle stool and not the religious deity, something we see common today. Told in explicit fashion. There's also biblical undertone. Most of it written in classic ABAB. Inspired by Alternative Metal/Indie

Shelter (southern stream)

By Sheila Blackburn

Sometimes we need a place to shelter. The storm we hide from may be physical or it may be emotional but a place of refuge is what we need when the frozen winds scream down on us.

Layers

By Annabel Chima

This lyric is all about the need for certainty in love - when you take a chance on this one person and it's risky because you may have been heart-broken before. This time, you need assurance. You have to prove you're open to love and they have to prove they are to be trusted with your heart. You gradually open yourself - your 'layers'. The overall atmosphere/vibes of the lyrics are very deep, mystical, and weirdly romantic. I purposely did not make any distinctive verses, hooks, or choruses because I wanted to leave the autonomy to the artist - the lyrics flow quite fluidly. Genres: Rnb, Hip Hop, Pop, Rap (this could be used for the melody, accompanying a rap song). These lyrics fit perfectly into the aforementioned genres.
