A warm December

(Christopher Van Name)

Suggested by the 1973 film. Sometimes love can’t stay. Sometimes one or both partners have to walk away. But it’s always worth it.

Living in a daze Wondering where the days are going Never knowing how much longer they’ll go on Looking for a way To get away from where I’m going Searching for the meaning of it all Where is yesterday? We let it slip away without knowing How much further we could have gone Now it’s too late Our love was fated from the moment that we met We kept holding on ‘Till there was nothing left at all Ever since you went away The sky’s been cold and gray I may never see another spring again I’ll always remember When you came to stay It was a warm December I remember every day We made time stand still If only for a moment Oh, but what a moment it was! We loved each other so It hurt so much when we let go In the end it always does It always does Where is yesterday? We let it slip away without ever knowing How much further we could have gone Sometimes love waits To see how far it gets Sometimes it just holds on Until there’s nothing left at all Ever since you went away The sky’s been cold and gray And if I never see another spring again I’ll always remember When you came to stay It was a warm December I remember every day I’ll always remember I’ll always remember loving you

For Nell and Ludlow “Lud” Thorston. Loud was a prominent water colorist who passed a few years ago at 92. He loved to listen to “The Divine One”, Ms. Sarah “Sassy” Vaughn while he painted. One day, in 1990, upon completing a beautiful water color of a sand dune, he heard that Ms. Vaughn had passed away. With tear filled eyes he came down the steps from his studio and told his darling wife Nell. He named his painting SARAH.

Right Here for Right Now

By Brian Hendrix

I didn't have much of anything deep or meaningful in mind when I wrote this. It's a love song, particularly about heartbreak, and I just wanted to try a new take on it and try to make a catchy love song that was a little deeper than the initial words on the page.

Thymian ist kein Tee

By Jones Lyrics

Genre/Style I was thinking of: Indi-Pop, Singer/Songwriter, Indi-Electronic, Alternative Artist(s) I was thinking of: Kraftklub, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Bilderbuch, Kawa Kawa,... Comments: Typische Pop-Struktur. Pre-Chorus statt Bridge. Die Pfeife im Chorus ist eine Anspielung auf René Margrites' Kunstwerk: "Ceci n'est pas ue pipe". Viel Spaß beim Performen!
