Live by the day
This song relates to an older couple who are out walking and get caught in a thunderstorm, they cross rail tracks, and unknown to them the arm sensor has been knocked out by the thunderstorm. The woman is killed instantly by the speeding train.
He is left to pick up the pieces of this devastating turn of events. Is he going to be strong enough mentally or fall apart because his soulmate has passed.

Live by the day that's what they say
The old man sitting there seems to pray
He is lost and confused, his mind in a haze
Wondering why life always feels like a maze
He loved her so deeply, with all of his heart
But she didn't hear the train, he's fallen apart
Thunder and rain couldn't hide his tears
He'll carry on despite his deep-rooted fears
Chorus
So, keep on keeping on and don't you stop
Life's a beautiful thing, like a mountaintop
Live by the day and you'll find your way
Through the twists and turns, day after day
Enjoy the sunset tomorrow will come
Take life as it comes, don't borrow sorrow
The old man's journey continues
His heart feels so heavy, but his spirit is strong
He stares at the sky, with tears in his eyes
Life's a wild ride, but it's worth the fight
Live by the day and you'll find your way
Through the ups and downs, come what may
Chorus
So, keep on keeping on and don't you stop
Life's a beautiful thing, like a mountaintop
Live by the day and you'll find your way
Through the twists and turns, day after day
