Prom Queen
This is about a young boy who feels trapped in a male body as he relates more to being a female. He is of course bullied at school for being different and has a small group of like minded friends. At the school Prom he blows everyone away by dressing up as a Prom Queen.

I started as a boy
it did not bring me joy
I did not play with boy toys
just my sisters dolls
My friends they played
with train sets
My sister had a doll house
I spent my time
with that
I played a little baseball
Preferred to be a dancer
Chorus
Don't be afraid
to be yourself
there are so many others
Have pride !
Take pride !
Don't be afraid
I was teased
a lot at school
The bullies had
a field day
Some friends came out
to give me strength
We have an artsy group
At the school Prom
I dropped a bomb
and took six hours
to transform into
a Prom Queen
My pink dress
was so exquisite
School friends
they cheered me on
I won the Prom Queen
so outrageous
I made Sir Elton proud
Chorus
Don't be afraid
to be yourself
there are so many others
Have pride !
Take pride !
Don't be afraid
