She’s chewing her nails, thinking ‘bout men She’s lost ten pounds, knows she’ll see them again He’s seen her looking, he’s dish of the day She licks her lips as she looks his way The roll from her stones grew more than moss The heat from her flame drew more than just moths She rolled burritos on her thigh She opened my mind when she closed her eyes Down by the creek with the contessa I’ll be your stooge and confessor Cantina Lorina, I can’t let you go Cantina Lorina, I love you so She keeps ‘em peeled perched by the stream A breaker of hearts, crusher of dreams We all got spoons want to stir in her pot But she don’t give free what she’s got Know the beat in affairs of the heart Don’t let it end before it can start She drew me in and led me on She knew exactly what she’d done Down by the creek with the contessa I’ll be your stooge and confessor Cantina Lorina, I can’t let you go Cantina Lorina, I love you so

Crowd

By Clairine T.

A relationship between two people with vastly different personalities and perspectives doesn't always work out well. When people are too different, there could never be a middle ground, and a huge rift is created that could not be crossed by themselves or anyone else for that matter. You could say that that kind of relationship is toxic, impossible to fix, that they should go their separate ways before things get worse between them. But when those two people are each other's closest companion, the fear of having no one else by their side often overrides how huge that rift is. Nothing could come out of it, but they only have each other. Though they aren't close and don't understand one another like how friends, or family, should, they are still marginally better than strangers, and sometimes that alone is enough to make them stay in that permanent stalemate.
