The Man Who Murdered Love

(Free Deeks)

I use extreme 'whodunnit' murder plots to describe being somebody who is unable to maintain a relationship. Without necessarily meaning to, he finds that through a rather heavy handed approach he manages to 'kill' off any chance of making the bond work.

I’m the one who shot it dead Snatched matted hair, pulled back the head Pushed the gun into its face Destructive grace I mixed the poison with some spice Stirred it well to hide the lies Served it steaming with a smile Oh, what style! I polish still the gleaming blade That in death makes vows decay Stabbed and slashed to cut and twist Words were my fist My next of kin reports affray Rushed to the ward, it was DOA The Gendarmes have my DNA My wanted posters all display I’m the man who murdered love I’m the man who murdered love I’m the man who murdered love I’m the man who murdered love

Words On The Wind

By Free Deeks

There is a feel of hot sandy desert and warm evening breezes. I was inspired by the atmosphere of Southern California and Mexico. The loss of a loved one, not knowing what happened then finding out through a third party. There is a feeling of the loss, but also the calmness of the extreme heat and gentle winds.

A cynical look at the members of Western Society who purport to have our interests at heart, but who have their own agendas. There is a sneer in the delivery at politicians, lawyers, bankers et al who deceive us with fears of instability and play on our insecurities.

Through Your Eyes

By Annabel Chima

This lyric was also inspired by Mariah Carey's 2005 song, 'We Belong Together'. I wanted to capture the dramatic emotions of feeling like you are close to a breaking point or even close to death - surviving and rising from what could have broken you. This lyric describes the unbreakable bond between two lovers; they would be willing to do anything to save each other, as they share a bond so deep, they see life through each other's eyes. The vibes/atmosphere is very romantic, deep, hopeful, and triumphant. There is a spiritual element to it also. Genres: Pop, Indie/Rock, Ballads.
