Don't forsake me

(Howard Aronson)

This is a rock ballad/love song. It's about a time of my life when I had a relationship with a woman who I loved very much. But I lied to her about a certain circumstance, and it almost took the relationship down. Needless to say it was a serious lie. They do say that the truth hurts, but I didn't want to tell her the truth, and lying was a bad idea. I had to do a lot to make up for it, but most of all I didn't want her to forsake me for the lie. All I wanted was for forgiveness.

I never wanted to hurt you Never wanted to make you cry I should have told you the truth It was a bad idea to lie They say the truth hurts And I thought the truth would hurt you I wish I could take things back There's only one thing I can do I'm so sorry I'm so sorry Please forgive me Please forgive me I made a mistake So Don't forsake me I would take everything back If that was a possibility Don't forsake me Don't forsake me Baby I promise you I will make things right There will be no more lies And no more fights I'm so sorry I'm so sorry Please forgive me Please forgive me I made a mistake So Don't forsake me I would take everything back If that was a possibility Don't forsake me Don't forsake me

You can be happy

By Howard Aronson

This is a rock Ballard, about when I was using drugs. It was a dark time in my life, and I never thought I could be happy again. But they were a lot of great people in my life that convinced me otherwise. I know I didn't have many more chances, and I should probably take advantage of the one I had right in front of me. I knew I knew I had the ability to get myself sober, because I had done it before. Only this time I knew it may be the last time I had a chance to do it.

Rat race

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about the craziness of living in the world today. No one has time for anybody anymore, everybody's just moving at such a fast Pace. Simple pleasures are no longer simple, everything is a fight, it's just an arduous task to get through a day. All the distractions, the traffic on the roads, and the angry people behind the wheel. There's so much distraction, so much temptation, and so much aggravation. It's really hard to take, and it won't be long before the world just blows up totally. There's so many wars and so much hate I'm not sure how much longer this can last.

Mountains

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about the mountains. I'm an avid hiker, and a professional mountain guide. Nowhere have I ever found the peace of mind that I do when I go up to the mountains. It's been such a spiritual and ultimate physical experience for me. To become one with nature, just to become one with the Earth. Someday I'm going to live up in the mountains, and get away from all the hustle and bustle. There's just too much bad news, bad politics, and aggravation living in populated areas. The mountains are my home for feeling safe, the mountains are a place where I feel needed, the mountains are placed that gives back, and I can give back to nature as well.

Making it

This song describes the hopes and dreams of a poor cotton picker in the Southern United States. He picks cotton by day and picks on his guitar at night. He stays humble as he starts to get noticed and gets signed up by an agent. The rise is rapid as he soon opens for some big stars in Nashville. Through it all he remains humble.

Attention Seeker

The act of attention seeking is fervently looked down upon. But in these rap lyrics, the protagonist spins the term "attention seeker" in a positive way, owning and embracing the phrase to portray their confidence and irresistibility.
