Only Love

(John Clayton)

Lessons learned, new ways of thinking or is it simply a case of letting go of all the ideas, thoughts and issues that we have been subjected to from various sources all our lives. As we go through life and begin to shed the unnecessary we hopefully come to a place of peace of mind and soul and let's us understand what our journey in life is truly about.

I finally made it I'm at the end of the road There's no need to look back now Those stories have grown old My soul can finally lay down It's heavy, heavy load And as the sun sets For the final time I can feel the peace I wanted It's in my heart and in my mind ***Chorus*** Only Love Can bring you peace of mind And only Love Can take away the fear inside Yeah, only Love Brings the hidden into light And only Love Gives us meaning in this life I fought it all Living only for my pride Such an empty journey That leaves bitterness behind If we could only recognize The simple truth that lives inside Then we could find our way To live a life without divide And I could face the quiet solitude Then shout out what I know Now life has come full circle And a new story unfolds Just like a journey on a river I simply go with the flow And all I ever needed Was to let go of the fight See that everything is shades of grey Nothing is ever black or white So undo the lock, just release control Because only Love can make you whole

I Call Upon The Angels

Losing someone suddenly can often be the hardest type of loss to deal with because of it's shock and unexpectedness. Often we search for reasons or an explanation to help us with our grief as a way to deal with, and release these emotions. These lyrics are a way to express these feelings and to help acknowledge and deal with loss and grief.

The Catalyst

By Marquis Smith

"The Catalyst" details so called religious leaders that judge others but too have missed the mark of righteousness. Partial AABB. One of my more spiritual pieces with in your face attitude. Preferred genres (but not limited to) Groove metal or Alternative metal.

Shelter (southern stream)

By Sheila Blackburn

Sometimes we need a place to shelter. The storm we hide from may be physical or it may be emotional but a place of refuge is what we need when the frozen winds scream down on us.

Layers

By Annabel Chima

This lyric is all about the need for certainty in love - when you take a chance on this one person and it's risky because you may have been heart-broken before. This time, you need assurance. You have to prove you're open to love and they have to prove they are to be trusted with your heart. You gradually open yourself - your 'layers'. The overall atmosphere/vibes of the lyrics are very deep, mystical, and weirdly romantic. I purposely did not make any distinctive verses, hooks, or choruses because I wanted to leave the autonomy to the artist - the lyrics flow quite fluidly. Genres: Rnb, Hip Hop, Pop, Rap (this could be used for the melody, accompanying a rap song). These lyrics fit perfectly into the aforementioned genres.
