Test
A song about a woman who thinks she has to be perfect to get into Heaven, so she tries all she can to the point she can’t anymore. So she loses faith and ends up going down a pessimistic past. In the end, she not only finds the light, but she also finds that imperfection is the best perfection that ever existed.

(Verse 1)
It’s almost midnight,
Something doesn’t feel right.
Can’t help feel it,
I don’t want this, not tonight.
I can’t breathe because the smoke’s too high,
And I know that all has gone awry.
Writing stories,
But I just seem to cry.
(Chorus)
And there was a knock on my door,
Asking me if I was willing to feed the poor.
And of course I said yes,
I walked right up towards them in my Sunday best,
Hoping that I will pass this test.
(Verse 2)
I know karma, I know what it’s good for,
I try to do things that make me unmoored.
Though it’s almost like I try to do well,
I just want to rid this crazy spell.
If I’m not good,
I might go to hell.
(Chorus)
And there was a knock on my door,
Man asked about my table, such an eyesore.
And of course I said yes,
I give it right to him there in my Sunday best,
Hoping that I will pass this test.
(Bridge)
I find myself inside a daze,
Trying to just get away.
I know if I don’t change my ways,
I’ll be damned and I’ll hated too.
