(M P WEISS)

Life is cruel and dangerous, mentally, physically and emotionally. This piece reflects upon this, starting all broken and slowly pieces it together to make something beautiful.

The sad fact of life is we're all gonna die No question why, only know the definites It's looming and decadent it crumbles lives A cause to cry and there's still no solution There's only one conclusion, not to be solved We all grow old and look back on what's done Did we use the gun or were you a pacifist? A stone-cold strategist or free-flowing spirit Locked in jail and the question is did you do it? It's hard to admit when you know life's pointless We know it's not endless so why suffer through Bit off more than we can chew how can we cope Some opt for dope and coke others use their passion For sport or fashion, it don't really matter Put down the dagger, don't get nervous Cos you're not nothing and you've got a purpose We struggle through life, killing ideas With no idea why we're killing our tears Crippled with fear we search for a cheer But the only one we get is cheering for beer You scream "I'm here!" but no-one hears Do you even have friends or simply peers? Now peer into your soul and answer this question Do you exist to cleanse or cause infection? No self-defence we abhor deflection We hoard and hoard we need a selection Of useless objects and amazing attention But our mental health is an inward reflection Stuck in a loop of cultivated behaviour With no religion, there's no afterlife saviour Our actions judge us as much as who we did 'em to So stop lying to yourself saying it's something you didn't do To survive in this circus you have to work No option to shirk you've got to survive Thrive without a dive just so you can see Your kids grow up to expand the family tree Mother, Father, you all need each other Open up your heart you don't need cover Cos that's what life is likely all about 2 or 3 people, not ending with a crowd You didn't live loud, but neither in a shroud You avoided death, you're not in the ground Your memory lives in the good times you give You didn't snap like a twig you grew to a stick Grew thicker and thicker till you became a branch You branched out a became a loving heart Now you don't beat above but under-earth Dignified death as beautiful as birth

Life's Truth

By M P WEISS

This is about the low points of human life. There is no surviving without pain and we have to decide, each of us, if we want to keep living in a world like this. Suicidal thoughts, depression, the change of our lives from one side of the spectrum to the other, how we can be good and then turn evil in a split second. Life is tough and these are a collection of thoughts of a person at the bottom of their game.
