The letter on the Path
This song is about a letter I found that touched me deeply, It I'd meant to remind us not to forget or ignore those who have problems living hard right in front of our eyes.

Walking along a well beaten path I found a letter today
The words on this rain soaked letter reminded me of those who have lost there way
Now these heart felt words from a young lover, of a man that was locked away
These words should remind us all not to judge our neighbors now listen to what she had to say
She said I'm sitting here at a camp by the river underneath a blanket of stars. Your brothers here with me and he wants me to tell you he finally put his heroin problem away
And even tho we have no home, I saved the money for your GED.
I love you and miss, and I'm so happy you changed
I had to share her simple letter because of what I found later that day
I walked a little farther, and at the end of the path there was a camp by the river where I found the sweet young lady's lifeless body killed by his brother for the money she had put away
So please remember, to help your neighbor no matter what mistakes they have made
For I would give anything to unread her letter and turn back the time just for one day..
