This song is about a relationship that was not good for you. You don't want the other person to give up on you, but in your mind you have already let go of them.

This lyric is a love song, and is also one of my newest. I wanted to sit down and come as close as I can to a love song, because I really feel like they sell. I didn't want to be negative, angry, or talk about my addiction in this one. I think that this song represents everyone's wish to find a love like this, where it's just so right. Unfortunately in my life have yet to find that, but I can keep on dreaming that I will someday. And if I were to fall in love someday, I'd want it to be just like this

This is my latest lyric, and it's about my addiction. I'm using some baseball analogies to hammer home the point, that no one can beat their addiction alone. Trying to do it alone is something that I have done many times and realize now that I can no longer continue to think that way. Unfortunately for me I've had a lot more than three strikes, and I was down and out many times. But fortunately for me I've been able to bounce back and this time at 62 years old and almost 3 years sober I realize I can't do it alone and I won't try to do it alone anymore. One day at a time I will be able to succeed in keeping my addiction at Bay as long as I involve the help of others.
