A song for Kate. Though it doesn't have to be specific to the Kates of the world. Many men have the problem of being inside their head too much, not realizing that they need to put more effort into loving their women. Men like us sometimes need to remind ourselves that our women need some TLC.
No big story behind this one. I'm not even sure I know any Marias. Yet from Townes Van Zandt and David Allan Coe to rock and roll bands like Counting Crows, everyone has their obligatory "Maria" song, so now I do too.
To the most wonderful person in the world; the woman who saved my life multiple times and would be willing to do it again; the woman who once raised me and still continues to do so... my mom. I love you, mom! And even though this song is pretty personal, you can always change it around once it’s yours.
