These lyrics were written when I was going through a tough time not having somebody I love close to me anymore. I got to a point where I was so close to them being there and when they no longer were it was like what I was used to was snatched away from me so suddenly and because I wasn't expecting it, it hurt even more than it probably would have if I had seen it coming. However, something like somebody leaving you is not something you usually see coming. It just hit me out of nowhere and at that point in my life, that was the last thing I needed. This song is raw and real and was written while I was in the middle of going through a really rough time in my life. This song is relateable yet unique because even though it explains a situation that lots of us have gone through in our lives, I have managed to bring details that relate directly to my personal experience with this concept and I think that really helps these lyrics stand out as opposed to some others about this same subject that don't have the unique details that I've added in my version of these types of lyrics.
