We've all been there- the class reunion, when everyone tries to show they've been reinvented new and glamorous. At this class reunion, though, the narrator is upstaged by a couple of sisters he'd insulted so many years before. A comic take on what is often a comic situation.
Starbucks Blues is a snarky turn about the vapid lives of the young and rich as demonstrated by their willingness to spend more money on coffee drinks than most people do on their rent and car payments.
It's really quite tempting to play fast and loose with people's hearts. However, playing God with their emotions, especially with regard to the concept of love, has uncanny ways of backfiring on the player. Theselyrics are about a player who did just that and now regrets his actions, wishing he could turn back the hands of time.
This song is about bringing yourself to really love someone because they, "love" you too but, they treat you bad as if they don't really care for you nor love you.
