I Didn't Come Here to Talk

(Brian Hendrix)

There are countless love songs out there. Though this is more about a man who admits that he wants a certain thing from a woman. He doesn't mind all that talking and feeling and emotional stuff; just save it for tomorrow. He has other things on his mind tonight. We can all relate to that feeling. It's a relatively slow-paced song that's quintessential country.

So, baby, it has been a hard week With the family, boss and police Everybody's got some words they need to spill And my back could use a few tweaks And soul could use some release So I'm stoppin' by to show you how I feel (Chorus) I didn't come here to talk I don't care what you say Tell me all about your feelings In the bright light of day But right now the sun's down I'm feelin' in a lovin' way So lay right down and love me through the dark I didn't come here to talk And, girl, you know what you do to me The one who sees right through me The loving touch laid on my skin to heal Got me figured to the tall T Know my needs but still don't fault me And in those blissful moments love is real (Chorus) (Bridge) And there's a reason that you hold me And you never speak a word It's because your body's aching too And needs healing from the hurt (Chorus)

Blade of Grass

By Brian Hendrix

This is definitely in the vein of a folk song. There's no chorus per se, just a guitar break between verses. But it's basically a message to people who aren't happy in their lives. Just imagine you were something else then, and see that everything you can think of being has its own environment and has its own existential questions of its being. The message isn't complex, and the song flows well. It has a little "Time in a Bottle" feel by Jim Croce, for reference. The "rose" reference is my personal favorite.

Needs a You

By Brian Hendrix

This is written from a female's perspective, a girl who's always wanted that fairy tale prince but ended up jaded and believing it wasn't possible. Then she does find the man of her dreams and speaks about him in a very poetic way, likening him to a hero, suggesting that every woman who's seeking love "needs a you."

Like A Thief

This is strictly metaphorical. I do not endorse people stealing anything! That being said, I thought this was a very unique angle to take on a man who really desires a woman and wants to let her know that he's going to win her heart, even if he has to steal it. Very unique and catchy.

Smiling Eyes

I tried to get a little poetic here about a guy who gets lost in a girl's eyes he thinks are absolutely beautiful. So the language is a little on the purple side, but I think it came together very nicely as a song

Why am I cold?

By Steven Mailer

A warrior tasked with defending the last of mankind begins to lose his mind under the battering of constant warfare, in his madness he decides the only way to save mankind is to upgrade them into a cybernetic race of warriors. This song is intended to be an ode to many different versions of this concept littered throughout science fiction.

Voices

By Neels Brand

This song is about voices that have manifested in my mind. At first it was only a week or 3. It all started 11 years ago, right about the time the brain initiutive started, and I just happehed to be in Hymen City at that time, a city known for its ecnredible technolohical advances, and that was also the first time I heard the voices). Now maybe they have ties to South Africa, and they pick they're targets well. Anybody with any pree-existing mentak condition, which means 25% of humanity. Add to that reacreational drug use and the percentage drastically drops. I have had to live with them never shutting up for a full year recently, do you know what that is like when in the "real world" you have a psychotic that has it in for you, smears your name, lies about you being aggressive, yet he us the one ever to puch me a shiner, through my broken glassess. He even pushed by mype in my ckassroom one day about money i do not owe him, thank God no kids were around, 1st thing I did was dop my broom to the floor when I saw he was trying to steal my phone, I took it back, the was the usual 2 mebpn hardly poshing each other around, he then damages his arm takes photos and claims... wait for it... I attacked him with the broomstick! What a lying miacreant piece of shit must you be to be that much of a pschopath. My point being, beween the experiment ("voices"), COVID19, no full time job because of this psycho, and then deeking with all the plethora of shit that comes my way from this hidious madman,.
