Walk-Away Joe
This is more in the old-timey vein of classic country, about a guy who decided one day to start walking. And he's never stopped. He's picked up the nickname "walk-away Joe." Just a fun little song.

(Chorus)
The call him walk-away Joe
He's never seen a door
That he ain't tried to get out of
He don't care the situation
That he's facing
He's leavin'; he'll go walk around some
He don't suffer fools 'nough to argue with one
Walk-away Joe, hey, there he goes
Well, he had a wife and a beautiful life
'Til he caught her with another man
She cried and begged, "Babe please, will you forgive me"
And he threw the ring off of his hand
Her lips rattled on, he never heard her talk
He put on his best boots and then off he walked
For all the years and miles, never cracked a smile
Never tried to get out of the rain
He'd just pat and turn like most live and learn
Lap around and then just do the same
'Bout the biggest damn calves that you ever saw
And you probably ain't drove as far as he's walked
(Chorus)
Held a couple of jobs, the definition of odd
Long enough just to get what he needs
Then he's off again, taking another trip
He's blown around more than the breeze
He's worn more boots out than you've ever bought
Almost a guarantee you'll see Joe walk
(Chorus)
