The Good Die Young
This is the celebration of the life of a great friend of mine who was part Cherokee, 6 feet 7 tall and had only one eye. He was unfortunately killed in an accident.

In this land of blind contempt, the one eyed man is king
But should we stand in line and queue for everything?
Son of a Cherokee, his face tipped to the stars
Soft as plasticine, hard as algebra
In this land of broken dreams the optimist stands clear
Says we could save ourselves by drinking all our tears
A thirst for knowledge, a need for third degree
To climb the mountain higher than he’s meant to be
Sealed his fate that crucial day
It didn’t have to be
Whoever said the good die young
Knew life’s dark comedy
In this land of blind contempt, the one eyed man is king
But should we stand in line and queue for everything?
Son of a Cherokee, his face tipped to the stars
Soft as plasticine, hard as algebra
History changed that fateful day
It didn’t have to be
Whoever said the good die young
Knew of this tragedy
