When Tomorrow Comes

(Free Deeks)

After the upheaval of a relationship breakdown there is a period of calm. The Singer, desperate for peace, is proposing maintaining that calm by carrying out a suicide pact. Tomorrow becomes the last tomorrow, thereby stopping any more painful tomorrows.

When tomorrow comes We won't need the lights too bright When another one Won't be there to start the fight There we'll lay, your hands in mine We won't move we'll have all the time When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes I'll break the lock on the cabinet door Just another one There'll be no need to take anymore They can shout we won't let them in They can cry but we won't be seen When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes I'll break the lock on the cabinet door Just another one There'll be no need to take anymore They can shout we won't let them in They can cry but we won't be seen When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes When tomorrow comes

This describes the collapse of a relationship. How a partner becomes an unfamiliar person who acts differently and who's outlook changes. The pain of the cessation of any closeness and denial of any special connection.

Safe And Sound

By Free Deeks

A cynical look at the members of Western Society who purport to have our interests at heart, but who have their own agendas. There is a sneer in the delivery at politicians, lawyers, bankers et al who deceive us with fears of instability and play on our insecurities.

Awayday

By Free Deeks

An 'Awayday' ticket used to be a cheap way of travelling on British Rail and was a way of getting away from home, the return part of the ticket not being used. My character in this song has left home to prove a point (perhaps, infused with the feel of the old stories of the man who leaves to make his fame and fortune). Unfortunately, my character doesn't reach his required level of achievement and decides to find another way out. This character is a composite of a number of people I've known in the past and the outcome, a reflection of what might have happened.

Through Your Eyes

By Annabel Chima

This lyric was also inspired by Mariah Carey's 2005 song, 'We Belong Together'. I wanted to capture the dramatic emotions of feeling like you are close to a breaking point or even close to death - surviving and rising from what could have broken you. This lyric describes the unbreakable bond between two lovers; they would be willing to do anything to save each other, as they share a bond so deep, they see life through each other's eyes. The vibes/atmosphere is very romantic, deep, hopeful, and triumphant. There is a spiritual element to it also. Genres: Pop, Indie/Rock, Ballads.
