Don't put your hand up

(Howard Aronson)

This song is about a lack of respect. It's about a person that doesn't take advice doesn't listen and thinks they're always right. You know one of those people that puts their hand up in your face and says talk to the hand. Nothing pisses me off and that kind of ignorance and disrespect. I know that I probably shouldn't waste my breath to try to help that person or talk to them like a human being and an adult but I wasn't brought up that way. I have a caring heart, and I'm always willing to help somebody, even if they say they don't want it, most times deep down inside they do. But there's that occasion when someone doesn't want to listen even though they know they should. Don't put your hand up is a lyric about that type of person

How dare you Question my words Your indignant nature Is absurd So don't put your hand up when I'm talking to you I'll let you know When I'm through You always have an excuse Why you are the victim Point a finger, three always point back To nothing, but your addiction So don't put your hand up when I'm talking to you I'll let you know When I'm through If you know it all You wouldn't ask so many questions I hope one day you smarten up And listen to suggestions So don't put your hand up when I'm talking to you I'll let you know When I'm through Be a man If you can Stop your lyin And stop your cryin So don't put your hand up when I'm talking to you I'll let you know When I'm through

I wish I could be with you

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is a breakup lyric. It leaves a person in total sadness, and disbelief. They reminisce about all the good times, and thought they would never end. This is a person they will never forget, and the pain will always be in the back of their mind. They asked themselves so many questions, that will go unanswered. This happens all too often in relationships that don't end well. There's always one person that seems to be devastated by the breakup.

Traffic Stop

By Howard Aronson

Lyric is about a corrupt police officer, and about all the false arrests, and illegal traffic stops, based on race. Racial profiling is rampant amongst the police in the United States today. Somebody gets pulled over for a broken tail light or the windows are tinted a little too much and it turns into violence it's ridiculous. Most of these people that are pulled over are African-American, or some other minority. There's no mistaking that these cops could have handled things better. In this lyric it talks about a girl who took her boyfriend back, and he's a corrupt cop. Why would she ever turn the cheek the other way to go out with this guy

No Pain

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about being in the throes of addiction, and being in denial. All you want is people to leave you alone and stop telling you what to do. All the while you're killing yourself and you don't even know it no matter how much people try to help you and give you advice, you just turn your back on them and write them off from your life. Addiction is a strange thing, it's a lack of ease, a lack of self-esteem a lack of confidence. And when you're in it, you don't care about anything or anyone. That's what this song is about

Tossed aside

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is similar to the one before it. Again it's about our veterans who go off to war, only to come back and be tossed aside again it's pretty self-explanatory. It's just sad that our government can't take care of veterans and seniors. Yeah they give him housing but it's crummy they cheap out on the benefits, or don't even let them know what they are. If they call the veterans administration all they get is the run around and a bunch of paperwork to fill out. It's a shame that this is what it's come to for the people who fought for our country
