Someone like you

(Howard Aronson)

This lyric is a Rock ballad about a love that never came, a love that was a missed opportunity. I'm sure we've all had times in our lives where we wanted to ask someone to go out with us but couldn't find the courage or whatever to do it. This lyric reminded me of a time when I was young, in high school, and I went out with this girl who I knew like me and I liked her but I couldn't even give her a kiss because I was too afraid. The underlying premise to this lyric is fear. A lot of us live in fear of so many things, and that prevents us from moving forward. It's okay to have fear, just don't let it stop you. In this lyric that's what the fear did

I never got to hold your hand I never got to lie with you in the sand I never got to kiss your face Before you left for another place I was too afraid to ask To me it was a tall task To you I'll always be drawn But now my chance is gone For so long I thought of someone like you And when you came along It was too good to be true For so long I thought of someone like you Things went so wrong I couldn't follow through I remember the day When I first saw you You walked by and said hello And I didn't know what to do My dream girl Standing right in front of me I was too shy to talk The fear was a reality For so long I thought of someone like you And when you came along It was too good to be true For so long I thought of someone like you Things went so wrong I couldn't follow through Even though we connected I didn't feel the spark It was quite unexpected My brain was in the dark I sometimes wonder What if took the chance and asked It's too late now I can't have it back For so long I thought of someone like you And when you came along It was too good to be true For so long I thought of someone like you Things went so wrong I couldn't follow through

Everybody

By Howard Aronson

This lyric would be a rock and roll song. It's about things that everybody wants and needs. It's also about things that elude everybody. There's so many things that we want or think we need in this world to live happily or live successfully yet they really don't matter in the long run there's a big difference between needing something and wanting something. That's what this lyric is about

Catacombs

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about making a choice to live a better life than the one you've been living. It's okay to seek advice about the choices that we make in life, but ultimately it falls on us to make that choice. There's been many times in my life or I didn't take the advice of others and it was a disaster. Today I search deep with inside me, as well as listen to others when it comes to making choices about my life. I don't always make the right choice, but I can recognize that and improve for the next time. If I want a good life it's up to me it's about the choices that I make. I know that I realize what those choices are most of the time, but there are times when I have to search deep inside my mind, into the catacombs, to figure it out.

The juggler

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is a quirky lyric it's short, and would probably repeat itself after it's done. It's a rock genre. It's about a person who's always got a scam, whose dreams are absurdly and wildly fake, and who tells lies constantly. He tries to juggle all of these things into his life and realizes that he can't do it. Most importantly other people realize who he is. He's the juggler, he's in a circus world in his head

Don't tear us apart

By Howard Aronson

This was about a relationship that one person is obsessed with the other. It's not really a healthy relationship. The obsessed person thinks it is, and pretty much begs her not to leave. He'll do anything to stop that, and ask her pretty much point blank what can you do. It's your classic I need you song. When in fact no one really needs anybody. Being needy is not a very pretty thing. Especially in a relationship.

Standing My Ground

By Joyce Trudeau

If you ever had trouble defending your point of view in an argument, no matter how strong your conviction, then this song is for you. It's a very resolute song so it should be paired with resolute music with conviction. These lyrics could be adapted to different styles - rap, pop, classic rock. The chorus could be used as something inspirational - such as in a commercial. It's a song about standing up for your beliefs, doing what is right and improving the world and its people.
