Stand up

(Howard Aronson)

This lyric is about what's going on right in front of the the faces of the people in the world. Big corporations, politicians, dictators, anyone with power just takes advantage of it. The world today seems so helpless for the common Man. What is it that we can do? We have to stand up for our rights, and demand change. Just saying we won't take it anymore doesn't do enough. All our votes count, and if we continue to vote for the politicians who are greedy, don't care about the people in there districts, then we're going to get more of the same. As far as the dictators go, we must wipe them from power, no matter what it takes. It's absurd to think that people can just accept this as normal, and go on with their lives saying there's nothing we can do. That just cannot be acceptable.

Can't you see what's going on around the world Everyday I watch the news and it makes my blood curl Dictators still rule with an iron fist And so many innocent people make up their hit list Stand Up And Fight For what you believe in How Can You Sit And do nothing All the money controlled by corporate CEOs They do what they want, and don't care who knows You got crooked politicians taking payoffs And so many people getting laid off Stand Up And Fight For what you believe in How Can You Sit And do nothing I'm Let's not forget about the environment Ignored by the government To them it's all fake news All the while the Earth continues to be abused How much longer will we turn a blind eye How many more people have to die So much has been destroyed Now there's less to enjoy Stand Up And Fight For what you believe in How Can You Sit And do nothing

Tell me that you care

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about a guy who really loves this woman and would do anything for her and be there for her no matter what. But he's asking her if she feels the same. He felt this way for a long time and tried to show her that he cares. But it always seems like he hits a brick wall that is her heart. She seems to be somebody that has a hard time expressing emotions, and hides her feelings to the point where you just want to scream. Nothing seems to phase her, and she just goes on with her life. You know in your heart you'll continue to try and do everything you can to convince her that your love is true and that she should be with you.

You stole my woman

By Howard Aronson

This is a blues lyric about someone that stole another man's woman, and he knows it, and he's going to come looking for him, and get his woman back. It's definitely a typical blues song, kind of an older fashion blue song. To make matters worse it was the guy's best friend that stole his woman which makes him even more angry.

Tell me that you care

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about a relationship that's one-sided. All the person asks is that they tell them they care and then the the other person will always be there. It's a fair question to ask. The person gets signed that they don't really care what they need to know so either they stay or move on.

Justify

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about war and his sons and daughters who go off to war. It's about the suffering that they go through, and that the family goes through while they're away. A lot of these wars are meaningless, and as a result many lives are lost in a senseless way. There's no doubt while they're away that the family wonders if they'll ever come back home again. The chances are slim when you're out there fighting a war in the trenches. If you do come home you're definitely one of the lucky ones.

Life is like a highway. We can take a break and get off of it for a time but we always need to get on it again. There will be up's and down's as we travel it.

Sure Victory

By Stanley Chris

This is a song of triumph, expressing faith in an all-powerful God Who is more than able to keep us safe in perilous times such as these in which we find ourselves. The Verses speak of His Word is a lamp and a light in darkest of times (Psalm 119:105), and a tower we can run to when the fight lands at our door. Because of such blessed assurance, we have a response of faith-proclamation in the Chorus, committing our lives unreservedly into His almighty hands, where He has inscribed our names, and where we are sheltered by His love. In His unfailing arms, His grace covers all our shame, and we have victory over the greatest of fears: death! This confidence in our God is followed up in the Bridge, which borrows heavily from Psalm 91, a famous passage that talks about God's protection for His people that is provided for in the covenant He has with us in Christ.
