You Know Nothing

(Karianne Gabaldon)

A song about people not understanding your eating disorder, or not believing you have one, because you’re not thin and don’t meet the criteria for anorexia nervosa. The thing is, there is an eating disorder called atypical anorexia nervosa and it’s actually more deadly than AN. So, if you feel people don’t understand you have an eating disorder because you’re not a stick, please reach out to the NEDA. You are worthy of getting help regardless of your weight and/or size.

(Verse 1) I want to feel that stained attraction, That you feel with yourself, Trying hard, a chain reaction, Something I’ve never felt. (Chorus) I haven’t been me lately, Seems like I’m going crazy, You think you’ve saved this lady, You know nothing. Encourage me to do this, You don’t really give a shit, You think I can up and quit, You know nothing. (Verse 2) Just because I don’t look like I’m sick, Does not mean that I’m not, It’s just an illness you can’t deal with, So please just fuck off. (Chorus 2) What friends do I have, many, But they’re not truly friendly, They say that they’re there for me, You know nothing. You struck the match, gaslighting, Our supposed love igniting, But then you left me fighting, You know nothing. (Bridge) The way I feel after I starve, Here you are, you’re about to carve, A whole in my saddened heart, A dangerous play, you’ve got the part. Congratulations, you have won, You’ve taken my time but I’m done, My baggage weighs a shit ton, You say so I’ll just be on the run. I needed help, and where were you? Crazier Than A Loon

By Karianne Gabaldon

Just something fun I wrote about my mental illness, schizophrenia. Basically saying that all people think of you is crazy when you’re mentally ill. That message is hidden, obviously.

About still being hung up on an ex; he was her everything, then he just up and left. Now it’s nothing but dust and bones.

Blister

By Karianne Gabaldon

This is about schizophrenia and describing it as a “blister” on one’s mind. It’s very dark, depressing you could even say, but it’s the truth. Schizophrenia is a blister.

You stole my woman

By Howard Aronson

This is a blues lyric about someone that stole another man's woman, and he knows it, and he's going to come looking for him, and get his woman back. It's definitely a typical blues song, kind of an older fashion blue song. To make matters worse it was the guy's best friend that stole his woman which makes him even more angry.

Emotional Highway

Life is like a highway. We can take a break and get off of it for a time but we always need to get on it again. There will be up's and down's as we travel it.

Sure Victory

By Stanley Chris

This is a song of triumph, expressing faith in an all-powerful God Who is more than able to keep us safe in perilous times such as these in which we find ourselves. The Verses speak of His Word is a lamp and a light in darkest of times (Psalm 119:105), and a tower we can run to when the fight lands at our door. Because of such blessed assurance, we have a response of faith-proclamation in the Chorus, committing our lives unreservedly into His almighty hands, where He has inscribed our names, and where we are sheltered by His love. In His unfailing arms, His grace covers all our shame, and we have victory over the greatest of fears: death! This confidence in our God is followed up in the Bridge, which borrows heavily from Psalm 91, a famous passage that talks about God's protection for His people that is provided for in the covenant He has with us in Christ.
