This lyric was inspired by Paul McCartney's (The Beetles)1965 song, 'Yesterday'. I wrote "Someday We Will Be Happy" with the intention of selling it to Film/Commercial Composers but honestly, if individual Artists are interested, the lyrics, rhyme scheme and rhythm/tempo would make a great ballad. The lyrics depict a dystopian world - a world without "sunny days;" a world filled with pain and agony. It flirts with the idea of a more hopeful time where everyone comes together as one and is happy. Ultimately, the lyrics are heartfelt. You're guaranteed a moved audience. It fits perfectly into most genres.
This song was inspired by Kanye West's 2009 song, 'Touch The Sky'. Serendipity means an "unplanned, unexpected, fortunate event," e.g. randomly finding cash in your pocket. This lyric depicts a man living in an area that is predominantly gang filled, who then finds loads of drug money in a duffel bag a thug had left behind on the street. He invests it, becomes rich and meets the love of his life. However, he witnesses so many synchronicities leading up to each event. The vibes and atmosphere of the lyrics are mysterious, dreamy and hopeful, cleverly playing with satire. You're guaranteed an intrigued audience. It fits perfectly into most rap genres.
We all fall in love and we all sometimes get hurt, but in certain cases, we're guilty of making someone feel left out and in turn, that person hurts us.
You and your partner are both a mess, but you love each other and you always will.
Hands down, one of the top-3 songs I've ever written. This one just came to me like a shot in the dark while I was lying down in bed. I hurried up and jotted down a rough outline, and then the song just came together of a cowboy who has accepted his fate of being alone and without love, and the realization that his "loneliness" doesn't make him blue. It's actually other things that make him sad.
