Laugh At My Death
This lyric is a short poetic segment that would be perfect for an intro/interlude or outro, to a weird, dark, heartfelt song. It reflects on 'death' as a positive transformation - as something to be celebrated and praised, rather than grieved. I was inspired by the idea of our loved ones who have passed on, watching over us and telling us to stop crying; I imagined they just wanted us to be happy.
The vibes/atmosphere of the lyrics are dark, twisted, yet display a funny streak with a sense of hope.
Genres:
It can be used for literally any type and style of genre, but I suggest using it mainly for ‘rap’ genres and/or ‘rock’ genres.

When I was born you never wept,
So don’t cry at my death.
Get ready – dress up
To impress like I will attend,
No sleep through the Wake,
Make me a theme park with finely crafted ornaments.
You never cried at my birth
So I want you to laugh at my death,
To dance and be fed –
Throw a party, party of alcoholics,
Want you to feel alive at my death.
Make a pie out of prosthetics,
Want you to feel like I, at my death.
Bring the lighter, light up the ceiling,
Want there to be a fire at my death.
