Remind Me to Forget You

(Brian Hendrix)

A song about breaking up with someone but they still live close to you, and so you run into them and thus you cannot just forget about them, because they're always there to remind you.

I never wanted you to leave But out the door, I watched you go They say time passin' helps you grieve But why the hell's it move so slow Makin' it worse, is gettin' around here in this small town Ain't even crossed the county line, down at your mom's house So next time you bump right into me... (Chorus) Please remind me to forget you And I'd be in a better place Just go ahead and turn your back So I won't have to see your face Don't bring me memories I'd rather have some Jim Beam So I can lose these thoughts I'm just shootin' straight,,, So, please remind me to forget you And, girl, that'd be great A random Tuesday, a grocery store And I just needed beer and bread Thought I might find a real good sale But just ran into you instead It'd be one thing if it's the first time, but it ain't And you're with somebody else, well, ain't that great For old time's sake, I need your help... (Chorus)

Come Across Like a Cowboy

By Brian Hendrix

Someone with whom I was speaking told me that I can come across a little rough, "like a cowboy," and I had to write that song. I am super excited about how this turned out. It's a really good song. A few notes to anyone who might buy this. It's not going to work in your head unless you get the cadence. "Since I wound up alone" would be two slow syllables: "A-lone." "I don't like this seclusion, baby" - would be a long, drawn out "seclu...sion" "Keeps me whistling time" - the "whistling" is broken down into three slower syllables: whis-ell-en.

Kimberly

By Brian Hendrix

I don't know if there are any songs written about a girl named Kimberly. I just got inspired one night I couldn't sleep, and that line was playing in my head: "Oh, Kimberly, I can't believe..." and so I wrote a song.

Good friends

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about some really good friends from high school, when we got together at a reunion. These guys were some of the best friends I've ever had, and in about being in high school and some of the best times I've ever had. They were never any worries during my high school days. All I did was have fun, date women, and play a lot of sports. Our futures were all ahead of us, and some made out better than others. But the saying is true that sometimes good friends go awry and they'll always come back to you. Good friends are hard to find. I still stay in touch with a couple of these guys today, and I cherish that relationship.
