Young Love
This song is about a man who's just out living his life, when he sees his former girlfriend, who was his first love. The story is about how the two get to talking, and how he remembers being so much in love with her and thinking that their breakup would kill him. The moral, of course, being about how young love is more like a rite of passage that can lead to better things.

Well, she's married now with a few kids
And I'm taken too, got a girlfriend
We're not 15 years old anymore
I saw her out, she smiled and said
Hell, I can't recall just how it went
But we ended with how time does fly by, dear Lord
But I remember
(Chorus)
Holding hands and dreamin''bout kissin' her
Right beside her but was still missin' her
Young love, boy, ain't it somethin'
Can beat it all, won't stop for nothin'
'Til it does, one day, you move on
You won't agree then but it makes you so strong
And one day, you're smiling back on that time
Young love
I thought about how it hurt so long
How my life was sang in those sad songs
And how it seemed the world would no longer spin
I was tryin' to think of what it was
That made me forget what hurt so much
And how who I am now doesn't want that again
Sometimes I think about
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
Your heart it breaks
Your heart is heals
Your memories fade
And new love's revealed
Young love might be the best stepping stone
When you remember...
(Chorus)
