This song is about a guy who treats his girlfriend with total disrespect and mocks and makes fun of her in front of their friends. She is of course very hurt with his moronic attitude towards her, and her friends have told her to dump him.
This is about an alcoholic man who decides to get help. He had realized that the booze world wasn’t for him and he knew he was fatally fading, so he put down the alcohol and never looked back. I’d say it’s pretty inspirational for those struggling with addiction.
