[Intro] When you look back, do you think The success you bought was worth Losing your family like you did Did it justify the hurt [Verse 1] You live by the rewrites But they won't re-shoot Just one take for all time And you cannot reboot [Pre-chorus A] You hit fame like you wanted But it hit you back harder [Chorus] The timing was ironic Your life in supersonic And you might pull your punches Since you missed those lunches But failure is sardonic [Verse 2] All the sad songs that you write Add a new fight into the mix Just for you to write about next You lament what you won't fix [Pre-chorus B] You found the fame you hunted But it left you still wanting [Chorus] The timing was ironic Your life in supersonic And you might pull your punches XXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXX XXX XXXXXXX XX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XX XX XXX XXXXX XXXX XX XXX XXXXXX XXXX XX XXX XXXXX XXXX XXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX XX XXX XXXXX XXXX XX XXX XXXXXX XXXX XX XXX XXXXX XXXX XXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXX XX XXXXXXXXXX XXX XXX XXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXX XXXXX XXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXX XXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXX XXXXXXX

Mental Illness Rocks (You)

By Isaac Wragg

No surprise here--this song is about battling mental illness, and how it can absolutely shake-up one's life. The song is contemplative but aggressive, an anthem of venting against the illness while encouraging others to keep fighting. It also dives into the difficulty of normal life and how hard it can be to communicate with others who don't struggle the same way. Ultimately, there is always hope--even when you fall--and the strength you need is never as far away as it seems.

Did You Know I've Been Gone?

By Isaac Wragg

The title of this song captures its essence. Sometimes you have to leave behind those who only see what they think of you instead of who you are. But sometimes, that also means they never notice when you've disengaged, much less when you've departed. It can take a confrontation to find any consolation, but DYKIBG is about the break-away that needs to happen before reconciliation can be realized.

Elder

By Isaac Wragg

Elder is a poetic perspective on a young person's connection to an older relative. The language is vague but very intentional, seeking to capture a sobering phase of life that's nigh-impossible to replicate once you leave it. The words encourage you to experience them slowly and consider what they're saying before they're gone--just like the kind, loving elders we all hopefully have in our own lives.

History in the Making

By Isaac Wragg

The year of 2020 was supposed to be big, full of potential, a time of improvement! What everyone received instead was large doses of isolation, uncertainty, and excessive quiet. History in the Making is about that time--doing as much as possible yet never enough, while contemplating the unique, historic nature of those days.

Plan

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about me, and my inability to stick to a plan. I'm great at making plans, but I'm also good at diverting myself from that plan I think if you're going to do something like that you have to have another plan in place, and I rarely ever did today I try to live my life differently and if I make a plan I stick to it if it's not working I reassess make another plan and stick to that one I admire people who can stick to a plan and I think it's part of being a mature person.

In einer Welt, in der man quantitativ konsumiert

By Ann-Kathrin Betz
