Neels Brand

Neels Brand is a natural born writer who has struggled with the duality of mankind his whole life, and his own kinks. Great sentences, right? But does that make him a great writer, poet or lyricist. There are those who believe so, but destiny and time will tell. One thing is for certain, as a man who has walked on either side of the line of life, and as a man who is NOT afraid of truth, it could turn into something interesting, and when he refers to either side of... just understand that there be grey, and much of it in this fascinating, amazing, staggeringly unpredictable, beautiful... yet cruel world.

A very accomplished musician once told him, upon having helped him with some lyrics, "Neels, I don't know what you have been doing with your life until now, but THIS is what you where meant to be doing. It's as if you are the 'Bernie' to my 'Elton!' Not that I am comparing myself... but you catch my drift!"
Neels has managed to help with over 50 songs lyrics ranging from light and fluffy to deep and dark, and all of that with only one hour a day standing on a ledge to communicate with his friend over a 10 foot wall, a friend who, 90% of the time, did not have his almost impossible to own at that moment guitar with him. But it's like Neels can feel what others feel, the music deep inside, and between them the magic started to unfold unoresidently and unexpectedly.

J.R.R.Tolkien wrote The Silmarilian which conyains this premise that in the beginning there was not nothing and then light... but instead the 1st thing that ever came into being was SOUND, and all as we know it grew from that, from sound first and light second. Neels not only loves this idea, but feels there might even be some level of truth to it, whether fantasy or not.

Whatever is called for, Neels is the go to guy...a man so into music (having been a DJ in SA, London, China, Vietnam, even done some good vocals and a bit of piano back in the day) he sometimes wishes he could be the music. Some people once cracked a joke about how sad it is to want to be the music, but Neels understands on a spectrum that's his own, because music IS the universal language, even outdoing love.

Yes! Please! He really wishes He could be the music! As an ardent DJ and a great lover of a wide variety of music and electronica, this does not exclude rock (new or classic), jazz, metal, chillout, hiphop, lofi, or even classical in any way, if it is good it is good and that is determined by how deep it touches and what feelings evoke, most of which for there are no words, just the typical varience in the overrunning of the complexity of the whatever is responding inside...

Yes, about COVID, but with elements both about survivors guilt yet also hope for the future, and more...
I am sure that by posting thos I will open myself to ridicule and jokes. Yet how quikly we forget man's inhumsanty to man. We forget the horrific experiments that have been perform without consent on mothers and babies involving tadiation poisoninh, even soldiers while testing a new gas.... In the 90s Bill Clinton himself said sorry to hundreds of lives that had been ruined by braincontrolling experiments against the subjects knowledge, some of them even having found a capsule shaped object implanted in their heads revealed by exray, and the president not only admitted to this but took resposibility. Why is it so hard fir people to bepieve that I am one of God knows how many subjects for a nano-neural study. The tech already exists to communicate with people in a coma. If you narrate thoughts, the software can interpret it, and even more amazing is putting "voices" back into your brain without the need of sound. Apparently they have moved on from just mere boneconduction for sound. Read about it. Honestly, how crazy do I sound now. It does not matter, we live in ex iting times and tech is growing exponencially at such a frenetic rate I do not believe even Elon Musk's safe guards against AI is going to help.
We're so enslaved to our devices everyday, or out of touch with that inner-child... and honestly, a smile costs nothing. Just a feel good lyric about more time away from our black screen overlords. LOL!!
Began writing this lyric about how Neil Degrasse Tyson once spoke about how language is actually impeding us and getting in the way of progress by forcing us to put out feelings and ideas into words that already exist. I simply took it one humble step further by proposing that souns and music itself could serve to "help" eleviate this problem. I feel kind of silly cause, you know, he is the "rock star of science", but I meant every word. It also occured to me, by the end, that I was not thinking of those who are deaf, or struggle with hearing related problems. I deeply apologise if my lyrics came across as insensitive in any way. I am just so tired of a world full of darkness, hatred, war, famine... and if I am to say something, I should start somewhere. P, ease forgive me.
Forgive me, I went freeflow, limitations of language and such... a little philosohpy... but so much... i don't know how to drscribe it, but we are all connected to the source somehow... I know I sound crazy when I say things like that, but I'd rather that than not say them at all. Also, there's a hitchiker's guide to the galaxy half mentioned, more like a tribute, but I syraight up mentioned a song that I feel a strong connection too, and also a strong connecrion that EVERYBODY should watch that Youtube song: Kriill - My Eyes Will I Ever
