Never enough

(Sonia Mian)

This song is about an abusive relationship. a relationship in which you’re always too much, but never enough. In which there’s overflowing love, that leaves you drowning in, but at the same time there’s no love at all.

(v 1) i lived with shut doors, and talking through walls, you love me coldly, or with excessive warmth, you speak too much, or drown in your silence, you push me out, and yell at me for running, (p-c) it’s always the same with you, and i hate to say this to you, but, (c) it was all too much, or never enough, it were your hands around my neck, pulling me under, leaving me beat up, or healing my bruises, (v2) you were filled with rage, i saw it in your red face, you never loved me at all, make myself look small, don’t wanna take up your space, and make you hate me for staying, (p-c) it’s always the same with you, and i hate to say this to you, but, (c) it was all too much, or never enough, it were your hands around my neck, pulling me under, leaving me beat up, or healing my bruises, (bridge) i’m only fluent in apologies, and bringing up bad memories, stories you forgot to remember, left me dangling on wires of sadness, (c) because it’s all too much, or never enough, your hands ‘round my neck, pulling me under, leaving me beat up or healing my bruises, you’re cutting me open and sewing me shut, i let you do it over, and over, and over again

This song is about an ex you can’t let go of and they can’t let go of you. It’s about wanting them no matter what the situation is, whether they’re put together or the biggest mess ever. It’s about wanting them while knowing you’re both better off.

Move

By Isaac Wragg

It's hard to leave people behind--yet it can be far worse when others leave you behind. That feeling is what Move is all about. It's describing a desire to stop everything in order to hold on, fighting the fear of being abandoned, and crying out when life feels overwhelming. Practically, the song experiments by mixing up its flow several times in the second-half, like an ever-shifting plea begging to be heard. It's odd form makes it a challenging yet highly versatile song for anyone willing to take it on. This is the sister-song to Alone, able to be played immediately before or after it.

Plan

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about me, and my inability to stick to a plan. I'm great at making plans, but I'm also good at diverting myself from that plan I think if you're going to do something like that you have to have another plan in place, and I rarely ever did today I try to live my life differently and if I make a plan I stick to it if it's not working I reassess make another plan and stick to that one I admire people who can stick to a plan and I think it's part of being a mature person.

By Ann-Kathrin Betz
