Power of the mind they say
Can raise the body to the sky
Thoughts alone can change the world
But yet still we never try
Self-indulgent acts of pain
The mind inflicts on brothers
Crucifying the fellow walker
Disrespectful words to mothers
Self-respect, an ancient myth
Desecration now new regime
Isolation seems to be the setting
Destruction seems to be the theme
For an intellectual people
Our IQs are quick regressing
Yet not because of lack thereof
But selfishness we are possessing
In God's image we were made
Disappointed artist weeping
Should exhibition have been delayed
Until we knew what we were reaping
Methods on restoring life
Bestowed on minds across the earth
Intending to be passed along
To ensure the world's rebirth
But selfish mortals as we are
Offer knowledge to be bought
As if all the wisdom that we own
Is formulated from our own thought
Engulfed in all our arrogance
We still fail to see the plan
That all possess a puzzle piece
To continue life of man
Believing we alone are gifted
For others know not what we do
Little knowing they themselves have found
Another piece unknown to you
We dream up fables of the sea
Of treasures buried in the land
Yet no one knows exact location
And riddles strewn across the land
A single mind dreamt up this tale
But if isolated it will be lost
So unless we all put trust in us
The intended purpose will be lost
