This is Love
A folk song that's very upbeat in rhythm with a choppy cadence that flies right through the verses, though it still has a profound meaning in terms of how it touches on love and how little time we all have to feel it. This one is great as just an acoustic song, in my opinion. It's how I play it.

Her hand looks older when I hold it
That's just fine, so does mine
It's just time
And it can't imprint the memories
Without etching some fine lines
Her eyes look brighter than they used to
A shining hue of grayish blue
Sparkle through
If the glow could speak a word at all
It'd tell me "I love you"
(Chorus)
Shorter days and longer nights
Harsher cold felt through these bones
But I hold her and she holds me
Reminisce on a million stories told
Through two lifetimes lived as one
Had enough days in the sun
That it could rain forever now
And still not cause a flood
And that's the truth...
And this is love
My heart beats faster when I see her
It always did, since way back when
Once again
I see her in the moonlight
And it makes my head to spin
I hear her voice calling out to me
I get a jolt, don't think I don't
A lightning bolt
Energy climbs up my spine
Whenever her sweet words are spoke
(Chorus)
