Whimsical little love song. Hailing back to a time when life seemed a little easier and a bit less hurried. People seemed a little more friendly. We tolerated one another and had more patience. I wrote this on the screen porch on a beautiful, late spring day while listening to my lovely wife float around the house. A soft, warm breeze was lightly blowing. What can you do when you've given all you have to give? We always think we still have something left to give. Even when that person has taken everything from us. Even though we know they'll continue to take until we stop giving. You can only give your heart.
"Covid" Blues. I was traveling earlier this year when the pandemic lit up the north east. Needing to quarantine for sometime before I returned home, I wrote this piece on a dreary, rainy March afternoon. we all need a little alone time. Being separated from your loved one(s) for a prolonged period of time, especially during a time of crisis, makes us realize how fortunate we are to love and be loved.
