You'll see things clearer If you take a look in the mirror Get honest, come clean It's not as hard as it seems You say you're afraid Of who you will see But you'll never get through this If you don't, that I can guarantee Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Away When did running away Ever get you anywhere Yeah, it just leads To a road to nowhere I know you have pain And so much regret You gotta to stop now Or you ain't seen nothing yet When did running away Ever get you anywhere Yeah, it just leads to a road to nowhere I know you have pain And so much regret So you gotta stop now Or you ain't seen nothing yet Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Away Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Why do you keep on running Away You have to stop running You have to stop running Today Today Today

Sang Like Elvis

By Brian Hendrix

Far and away, one of the best I ever wrote, and I have no idea where I even came up with the idea. A song jumped into my head during the middle of a power outage in a thunderstorm, and I kept wondering "Where have I heard that song before?" Turns out, I hadn't. It was just playing in my head, so I wrote it. A gift from the thunder, maybe. About a guy telling a story of his uncle who used to be a popular Elvis impersonator for a living. I'm in love with this song. I'm hesitant to list it here. I really like how the first verse drops clues but doesn't flat-out say it, then the chorus is mainly Elvis popular song titles that I tied in together. I happen to think it's clever and catchy, but I'm biased.
