What do you think you're doing

(Howard Aronson)

This is a let down lyrics. They can't believe that this person would do something so harsh, and let them down. They know that they're trying to minimize it, and just brush it off. They wonder if they're breaking up with them, and for some reason they want to leave them wondering. It was only supposed to be a break, just a temporary thing. But to one of the people it just seems like it's the end. The other person says hey it's All or nothing, and really has the idea that it's going to be nothing.

What do you think you're doing I thought you were on my side What do you think you doing Baby you're hurting my pride What do you think you're doing Don't even try to lie What do you think you doing Are you saying goodbye What do you think you're doing What do you think you're doing What do you think you're doing To me... What do you think you're doing I know we talked about taking a break For each other's sake What do you think you're doing Don't know how much more I can take If you want to take a breather Then let's do it now What do you think you're doing Guess it's time to slow down Time to feel what it's like without you Cuz I won't settle for just a piece of your heart What do you think you doing Looks like you wanna tear us apart What do you think you're doing What do you think you're doing What do you think you're doing To me... What do you think you're doing To me To me To me To us To us To us To us

Leave a message

By Howard Aronson

This is a type of break up makeup message. He wants to say sorry so he gives her a call to invite her over for dinner. All he gets is the voicemail so he leaves a detailed message He pours his heart out, and tells her that he'll make it right, and it'll be the last time. He invites her over to dinner, to make her favorite food, and hopefully get her in the mood.

Gone forever

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about a love that's gone forever. It kind of leaves you wondering did she die, or just leave the relationship you're not really sure. But he talks of longing for her, and has all these different memories that come back to his mind and make him miss her even more. He wishes he could change it, but he knows he can't.

Stand up

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about what's going on right in front of the the faces of the people in the world. Big corporations, politicians, dictators, anyone with power just takes advantage of it. The world today seems so helpless for the common Man. What is it that we can do? We have to stand up for our rights, and demand change. Just saying we won't take it anymore doesn't do enough. All our votes count, and if we continue to vote for the politicians who are greedy, don't care about the people in there districts, then we're going to get more of the same. As far as the dictators go, we must wipe them from power, no matter what it takes. It's absurd to think that people can just accept this as normal, and go on with their lives saying there's nothing we can do. That just cannot be acceptable.

Tell me that you care

By Howard Aronson

This lyric is about a guy who really loves this woman and would do anything for her and be there for her no matter what. But he's asking her if she feels the same. He felt this way for a long time and tried to show her that he cares. But it always seems like he hits a brick wall that is her heart. She seems to be somebody that has a hard time expressing emotions, and hides her feelings to the point where you just want to scream. Nothing seems to phase her, and she just goes on with her life. You know in your heart you'll continue to try and do everything you can to convince her that your love is true and that she should be with you.

Magnificent

By Stanley Chris

This song talks of the faithfulness, love and greatness of God. He is the only One worthy of our praise, "from dawn to setting sun." His love is "better than life, much purer than gold refined," and remains unchanging despite our failures. In times of trouble, no adversary or adversity we face can bar His hand from intervening to rescue us to His arms. Those are the ideas brought out in the three Verses. The Chorus brings Him high praise, speaking of His power, exalting His Name, and expressing the famous prayer of Jesus that His Kingdom come to earth, and His will be done in our hearts (Matthew 6:10). This is the timeless song that the nations ever roar. Throughout history, empires have risen and fallen, but our God remains on His seat of power; He cannot be dethroned! He is indeed magnificent! That is the climax on which the Bridge ends this deep revelation of Who God is.
