I work with a girl, her name is Sadie,
She is young with attitude, she’s a sassy lady.
She has one flaw, she likes them bad,
She never learns, they just make her sad.
When she told one she was with baby,
He said see you later, or never maybe,
I’m sure you’ll make a good single mum
As for me with you I’m done.
Her mama never told her what mine did,
She sat me down and said this is how it is,
You marry a good guy that treats you well
The bad guys are fun, but they’ll make your life hell.
If you want to be happy, use your head,
Don’t take drugs or you’ll end up dead,
Find a job doing something you’re good at,
Don’t eat when your bored, you’ll just get fat.
Her mama never told her what mine did,
She sat me down and said this is how it is,
These are the rules of life you’ll need,
Now listen to me I’m your mum, agreed.
If you want a happy life there’s some things you should know,
I’ve learnt from my mistakes, they made me grow.
Now I’m telling you, all the things I learnt,
Trust isn’t given it needs to be earnt.
Common sense to some, but some need to be told,
You need to know this when your young, it’s too late when you’re old.
Please learn from the mistakes, I’ve seen others make,
Be happy not sad, as my heart will break.
Her mama never told her what mine did,
She sat me down and said this is how it is.
Save for a mortgage, don’t rent it’s never yours,
Be smart with money, watch your pennies early doors.
