I Wanna Be Rich
The title says it all. This man, who is not rich, wishes he was. He is tired of his menial job and his mediocre life and his mundane existence, so he dreams and fantasizes leaving it all behind and wonders what it would be like to be rich, successful, wealthy, and important in the world.

I’m tired of scrubbing this floor,
I’m tired of being among the poor,
I wanna own a great big store,
and have a bunch of people working for me,
someday that’s how it will be,
I’m sick of pain and misery.
Slaving away for the boss is a bitch,
deep down inside, I wanna be rich,
and swim in an ocean of money,
wouldn’t that be kinda funny?
I wanna blow my problems into the air,
and live happy, without a care,
tired of going nowhere.
I want to find wealth and stability,
that would be the life for me,
have a huge mansion on the hill,
then I could relax and chill.
How about a mile-long limo in my driveway
and being able to do things my way?
Instead of sweating to earn my meager paycheck,
and knowing all too well that my life is a wreck,
wanna damn it all to heck.
You know, I wanna be rich,
because my boss is a mean son of a bitch,
wanna tell him to take this job and shove it,
or maybe throw him out the window, I’m not above it.
On the concrete, he’ll make an ugly stain,
but in this dead-end job, I can’t remain.
Tired of the daily hassle,
wanna live in a big castle,
I’m worn down to a frazzle.
I wanna be rich, you know,
and be the star of the show.
