Tommy L. Day

Tommy L. Day is an avid listener and lover of music first and foremost; and he is able to draw upon the lyric writing of artists from the 1930s up to the 2000s and incorporate a bit of each into his own unique style. His true passion, however, lies in the lyrics and music of the 1950s and 1960s, with Lennon/McCartney being a particular influence. He uses his love of this era to craft heartfelt, timeless lyrics for his clients that are ready to be sung and set to music.

A lighthearted, uptempo song with a swinging rhythm. About two lovers who are frantically wondering just how they will explain the circumstances of their meeting to their family and friends.
A song about those dreamlike moments early in the morning when you're waking up beside that special someone. You know the day is coming, full of new possibilities, but you'd like to linger on just a while longer....
A song that truly embodies the saying that love is blind. The narrator has been hurt by someone they cared deeply for, and is trying to warn their friend before they meet a similar fate. Pronouns can easily be swapped if need be.
