Interview with Ari Wilde
Ari Wilde is a successful young lyricist at PREMIUM LYRICS. Read the interview with her.
PL: Hi Ari, please tell us about yourself.
A: My name is Ari, I am a songwriter and I sing and play in a band. We haven't released anything so far, but we are working on new music right now. I currently live in Italy, but I am probably moving to the UK in the next few years.
PL: You are a lyricist. What brought you in this genre?
A: I started writing lyrics as soon as I started listening to bands, I was 11 years old. I always write lyrics in English, it's easy now, but it wasn't as easy then, and many of my first songs weren't as good, but I kept on trying. I don't know why I started writing lyrics in the first place, I wanted to have a band and it seemed the most natural thing to do. I love writing, I write stories, but writing song lyrics is the thing I love doing the most and it also seems the best way to channel my thoughts.
PL: Who are the artists have you found most inspiring?
A: When I started writing songs I took inspiration first from The Beatles, then from bands like Green Day or AFI. Now I still like this kind of music, but the artists that I find more inspiring lyrically are others. Right now I take inspiration mostly fromBrian Fallon, Conor Oberst, Ezra Furman, Laura Jane Grace, Brian Molko and Jack White. I think those songwriters write in a way that I feel resonates with me and with my personality. I believe everyone should have a personal style of writing though, and I definetely try to be true to myself all of the time.
PL: How do you see yourself in future?
A: Right now I am playing in a band and trying to succeed as an actor. In the next future I can definetely see my band finally releasing songs and I hope I get some roles in movies, commercials or TV series. I am working towards these goals now. When I was a kid I used to be a model and I worked for important brands, I'd like to do it again in the future, and I also have written stories that I'd like to publish. So basically, I have many projects in the future and I see myself working in the music or movies industry. I am still young, and for now I want to do what I love without any pressure.
PL: What do you think about PREMIUM LYRICS?
A: I think Premium Lyrics is the best website to use if you're looking for original and unique lyrics. It's a great opportunity for songwriters to have their work published and I think all of the young people who want to play music but don't know how to write lyrics should buy the lyrics there.
