Just Don't Tell Her She's Wrong

(Brian Hendrix)

I like this. Jotted it down real quick after the hook popped in my head. Despite the subject matter seeming a bit more serious than a typical song, it's actually more of an upbeat song that's meant to poke fun sarcastically more so than malign someone.

My girl’s immune to most things That I might wanna say When she gets me to feeling Certain kind of ways She can take it and give it Let it roll off her back Only one thing you’d say To stop her dead in her tracks (Chorus) Just don’t tell her she’s wrong Or the song She sings will be a loud one It’ll go on for hours and hours Even after the crowd’s gone You can tell her it’s over You’re not coming back Tell her you never loved her She’s okay with that She’ll just smile and move on Just don’t tell her she’s wrong My baby knows everything ‘Least according to her If you dare disagree You’re invitin’ danger ‘Cause the gloves’ll come off And no holds are barred Either agree that she’s right Or put up your guard (Chorus) (Bridge) I admire the strength she shows Mostly sober and sound But point out her mistakes And she’ll just come unwound (Chorus)

Lightweight

We all have that one friend. You know which one it is; and if you don't, it might be you! That one friend you can't drink with, because they can't hold their liquor. This is a really fun, upbeat song with a nice, alliterative chorus. It's one of my favorite fun songs.

Double Shot

By Brian Hendrix

I don't think there are nearly enough songs that compare women to other things men love. Though I wrote this and likely shouldn't be tooting my own horn, I think I got fairly clever in some spots with innuendo and double entendres, so it's a really fun song. It's short and snappy with an upbeat chorus. It's really fun to play and sing.

Hold Me Up

By Brian Hendrix

A song about an alcoholic man who can't seem to keep himself on the wagon. He keeps drinking, and he keeps coming home wanting help from his woman to hold him up. For me, this song is really emotional and is relevant to a lot of different people who struggle with alcohol and are looking for someone strong to help them through it.

What You Do To Me

By Brian Hendrix

A song about a guy who can't get enough of his girl. No matter what time of day, whenever he sees her, he's thinking about her very passionately and romantically. It's what she does to him. This is a song on the shorter side, likely coming in at under 3 minutes with any sort of music, which makes it ideal for a quick radio play.

4:20

By Annabel Chima

This lyric is full of double entendres. It is a crude play on the '4:20' smoking culture with satirical references to sex. The vibes and atmostphere of the lyrics are very adult - themed, masculine and suggestive. You're guaranteed a heated and lit audience. It fits perfectly in mostly rap genres.
