Love For a Lifetime

(Dawn Wilson)

In the 42nd year of our marriage, my husband and I never stopped being in love. Of course there were difficult times, of course there was bickering. We started out the right way, lots of couples do (and some don’t). I don’t know if I can give anyone the secret formula for a marriage that lasts a lifetime. Even if I could, not everyone will listen. Most don’t. “A Love for a Lifetime” is dedicated to my husband. He still makes me laugh and every day I find another reason why I married him, why I love him.

Verse Don’t fall in love with love I’ve been down that road before It burned bright but faded quickly And wounded me to my core Chorus You don’t fall in love one time Though it starts out that way For love to last a lifetime You fall in love every day Verse Love can live among the stones In laughter and in tears And grow a little stronger With every passing year Chorus You don’t fall in love one time Though it starts out that way For love to last a lifetime You fall in love every day XXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXX XX XX XXXX XXXX XX XXXX XX XXXXXXX XXX XXX XXX XXXX XXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XX XXXXXXX XXXX XXXXX XX XXXXX XXXXX XXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XX XXXXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX XXXXX XXXX XXXXX X XXXXXXXX XXXXX XXX XXXX XXXX XXX XXXXX XX XX

No Pressure

By Annabel Chima

This song is quite niche...it's about gate-keeping the Exotical Community - for ALL Exoticals (Dark-Skinned, Brown-Skinned, Light-Skinned) - basically people who are Mixed/Admixed or 'look Mixed'. Further to this, it is about forming a safe space for us - or perhaps a new 'World' for us where we leave behind the outdated systems and form our own communities... I focus on the need to protect the young ones/the kids so that certain cycles don't repeat. I grew up hearing people bombard me with questions like, "What are you Mixed with?" and even had adults not believing my parents are my parents or saying I should "question them" about where I "really" come from (insinuating that my parents were hiding a certain DNA admixture in my bloodline from me)...I do not want my 'future' kids to go through that and I know that many Mixed/Admixed people can relate to this. I want my 'future' Exotical kids to be surrounded by other Exoticals who understand them/their looks/phenotype/ethnic background etc, not a society that constantly pokes at their looks and analyses how 'exotic' they look 24/7. We are often criticised more than others and feel the pressures to perform well or be 'perfect' in society. Additionally, it is not our fault that the world pedestalises us; we should own who we are, what we look like, and our accomplishments; I want us to be free, hence the song title, 'No Pressure'. The lyrics are just an Ode to ALL Exoticals - I want solidarity between us...do with it as you please! Genres: Rap, Hip Hop, RnB, Trap, Drill, Country, Poetry.

Belief in Repetition

Quite a few hopeful and desperate people cannot find enough opportunities in this world, so they are now trying spiritual manifestation techniques to escape their bleak reality. That is exactly what this song is about.

High, then low
