Verse 1
Monday’s here again and the week begins
Kids got activities that seem to never end
Kyle’s got soccer at the oval by the lake
Melissa’s got dance and we know we can’t be late
Driving all around this small town of ours
I wish I could bill for my hours!
Verse 2
Wednesday’s we got a lot going on
Band practice and tutoring to keep us on the run
Basketball at night takes it to a tiring day
Got to have my coffee to make it all the way
Sometimes I think I need a personal assistant
To take on all the extra work and give me a break
By Saturday we’ve had as much as we can take
Sunday is the day reserved for the parent’s sake
Chorus
With all these activities that go on all week
Running around from place to place
We got soccer, dancing and karate
Then some homework while we put dinner on
But there’s one day a week can’t be doing with all this fuss
Because Sunday belongs to us!
