Dead Flowers Held Sacred
D.F.H.S. details romance and same-sex love (also the title to my compilation of writings). I can imagine this being spoken. Dispensed of heavy metallic sound to evoke the presence of dark romanticism. Maybe some soft piano. I feel this would make a good album opener. Heavily inspired by early My Dying Bride. No rhyme scheme. Preferred genres (but not limited to) Death/doom metal/gothic metal.

Feast your eyes on depraved flesh, debase
Passion licks it's lips in defiance
Our eyes hold firm to a lie
Your brush beseeched my art passionately
Though God smears our canvas in disapproval
Because your organ rose, the gospel died
I never felt anymore alive than how I feel now
Brand me in lust, watch how I burn
And moan as you soil lifeless ground
A bouquet of dead flowers we've found
We embrace as people sneer
My love, let us leave from here
For we feast at a table filled with scoffers
We glide on a floor that holds the fervent mocker
Our kinship, a leper affinity
Unnatural streams can flow natural it done gently
