God Listens to Country

(Melanie Thompson)

Most believe that God does exist. And I agree. I think he is omnipresent in humanity's daily existence. Available and active. I believe is takes pleasure in the things that make us happy. One of those things is music. These lyrics are reflections of my beliefs that I hope others share. The roots of country music stem from gospel. So, I do believe that God does listen to country music.

Vrs 1. The glory of God is a wonder. No man dare put asunder. You hear His great power in the heavens up above. Rain for your crops, God is showing His love. Chorus. God listens to country. Knows the words to every song. And with a host of holy angels, sometimes He even sings along. God listens to country, every note of every tune. And with a host of holy angels, He claps the rhythm out too. Vrs 2. He will help you when you are at your lowest. Lift up your spirit. Bring you light. Let your pride go and He will take control. He blesses and always provides. Chorus. (repeat)
