What I Know Now
Exactly what it says in the title. This is a slightly humorous retrospective of the singer’s life. It picks on several random lessons learned before focussing on relationships and specifically in the last verse, a marriage. Would probably suit a three chord rock song or something more broken down in a Talking Heads/Vampire Weekend style.

You shouldn’t go out on a bicycle with out some bits and pieces
Unprotected camping holidays can pass on strange diseases
It takes a lifetime to appreciate some varieties of cheeses
Sometimes everybody likes to feel like they are needed
I try not to doubt
What I think I know now
Couldn’t live without
All this valuable know how
Some girls want boys who can decide and be in charge as well
But if you miss the thing they want, they’ll make your life like Hell
The difference between girls and boys is way more than the smell
For certain situations there’s a special kind of gel
A curious disposition makes an interesting life
I even did the family thing and found myself a wife
But I wasn’t very good at that and we caused each other strife
And now I live in splendid isolation. Which is nice!
