This is a lyric that's a true story, about me getting frostbite trying to climb Mount Katahdin. Mount Katahdin is the highest point in Maine, and one of the toughest climbs that I've ever done. I was trying to do this in winter obviously, and that is probably the toughest time to climb that mountain. First of all you have to hike in 13 miles pulling in a sled with all your gear, plus carrying your pack with other gear. That day it was so cold, with the wind chill it was probably 20 something below zero. Everything froze within an hour. The only thing that I had that didn't freeze was my trail mix. For some reason things went wrong, either I didn't drink and eat enough the day before, or I didn't eat enough in the morning before the hike. When I got to the cabin and took my mittens off, all my fingertips were blue. But there was a happy ending, because the park is covered by the rangers year round. So one of them came to check on us the next morning saw my fingertips and gave me a ride on his snowmobile back to my car. Basically because of that my fingers were saved. But it goes to show you, that even someone experienced like me, can have things go wrong really fast. You have to make good decisions up there, and I certainly didn't make one that day
